Analyst Nightmare or Laundering Massive Spreadsheets

Date: Friday, May 18th @ 7pm

**Please note, this is a Friday meeting** unlike our typical Monday time.

Feyzi Bagirov is our guest speaker for the May meeting. He will be presenting a look into the data scientist's perspective regarding the realities of data science work.

Data Science is an exploding field, but there is much work to be done in order to get to a usable product out of the chaos of data that is presented to researchers. Luckily Python can come to the rescue. Feyzi will dive into the typical pitfalls encountered with working with raw data and how to get around them. He will go through a real world example that you can reproduce on your own. This talk is a valuable event for anyone looking to break into data science.

Feyzi started his career as a Customer & Business Intelligence Analyst at Dassault Systemes. He has participated in the creation of the graduate Master of Science in Data Analytics at the University of Maryland University College, and was a Founding Director of an undergraduate program (Bachelor of Science in Data Science) at Becker College. Feyzi is currently an Analytics Faculty at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, a Data Science Advisor at Metadata.io, and PUG-IP member.
