Code sprint!

Date: Monday, February 13th @ 7pm

Welcome to PUGIP's first code sprint (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprint_(software_development))! More of a 'sprintlet' since it's squeezed into our regular meeting slot, it should be a fun way to whet our appetite for future sprints. Bring a wifi-enabled laptop! But since we will pair up, lack of laptop shouldn't stop you from joining us.

Due to the tight time frame, we have pre-selected my humble project, OpenTaxForms (https://github.com/jsaponara/opentaxforms), which aims to create free tax software. Writing tax software makes April 15 a whole new kind of deadline! To show my appreciation I'll bring some snacks and a [very small] prize for the first team to submit a "pull request" with a "working test". If these terms are unfamiliar, this sprintlet will serve as a friendly introduction to collaboration on github (https://github.com/).

OpenTaxForms is written in python and javascript, but there will be CSS tasks, forms to test manually, and even a logo to improve upon, so any skill level will be useful.

Don't forget your laptop!
